What do you need to know so you can vote on May 3?

Do you need to know whether you are registered to vote in Dallas County? Where to vote? When to vote?

Do you need to know what’s on your ballot? And how to choose between the City Council and Dallas ISD school board candidates?

We’ve got you.

Dallas Free Press’ Voter Guide is live and will continue to be updated between now and Election Day — Saturday, May 3 — to answer all of your questions so you can make your voice heard as we decide who will represent us and make decisions that shape the future of our city.

I hope you’ll join us tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Salem Institutional Baptist Church, where I’ll be talking to the candidates running for the District 7 City Council seat, which represents South Dallas. Please take our 3-question poll to let us know what questions you have for the candidates!

We’ll be updating our voter guide in the next few days as candidates submit their questionnaires, and sending more emails with voter information. You can cast your ballots early from April 22-29 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, or any of the other 60 early voting locations in Dallas County.

See you tonight and at the polls, South Dallas!
