Election Day is here, neighbor!
The Dallas Free Press team will be out in the community covering watch parties, tracking results, and making sure you and your neighbors have the information you need to vote with confidence.
When early voting ended on April 29, only 298 people in South Dallas had voted — that’s just 2% of the 13,833 registered voters in the area. This means that more than 13,000 residents still have the power to help decide what happens next for their community by casting their vote today.
South Dallas is choosing between six candidates to elect a District 7 city councilmember to represent neighbors at City Hall.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve helped host and moderate candidate forums, raised questions on topics neighbors told us they cared about most — like Queen City and the South Dallas Fair Park Area Plan — and compiled and created voter resources to help you and your neighbors make informed decisions at the polls.
Not sure what’s on your ballot, where to go, or what to bring? We’ve got you. This email is your go-to guide for navigating today’s election. ⬇️
