Where to find Dallas Free Press this week: Sept. 30-Oct. 1
Good afternoon! Here’s what the Dallas Free Press team is working on and where we’ll be this week.
Coming soon from Dallas Free Press
Brenda Hernandez will attend the groundbreaking for Builder’s of Hope’s Trinity West Villas on Tuesday, Oct. 1, to learn about the project and its significance to the community.
Brenda joins the Bertrand Neighborhood Association monthly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 3, to listen to residents’ updates on their work to obtain speed bumps to reduce decade-long speeding issues. Hernandez will interview Bertrand residents to gain insights on how the speeding impacts their day-to-day lives.
Sujata Dand will follow up on how Trinity Park Conservancy is living up to its promise to help residents with their property taxes as they work to raise money for a new park.
What else do we need to follow-up on? Let us know.
Dallas Documenters at public meetings
Our Dallas Documenters will cover several public meetings this week:
Tekisha Hobbs will document the South Dallas/Fair Park Opportunity Fund Board meeting on Thursday. Other Documenters will be assigned to the DHA Housing Solutions for North Texas Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday and the Community Development Commission on Thursday.
Scan our Documenters’ notes from recent public meetings, including the Dallas ISD Sept. 12 Board Briefing and Dallas City Council’s Sept. 10 Community Police Oversight Board meeting.
