With the 2026 Election fast approaching, here are a few forum and debate opportunities for key races.
U.S. House District 32
Wednesday, October 14 at noon
House District 32 candidates Dan Barrios (D) and Jace Yarbrough (R) are set to join a candidate forum hosted by the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. The seat is currently held by Julie Johnson and was changed during the state’s recent redistricting.
Railroad Commission
Thursday, October 22 at 4 p.m.
Texas Railroad Commission candidates Jon Rosenthal (D) and Bo French (R) are set to join the DFW Press & Media Club’s Live Candidate Showcase series. This week, the Texas Tribune reported that Rosenthal raised more money than French in the most recent filing period. This comes after French went viral for a racist post on X. The seat oversees the state’s oil and gas commission.
Dallas County District 2
Thursday, October 22 at 4 p.m.
Incumbent Andrew Sommerman (D) and Barry Wernick (R) are set to debate for the Dallas County District 2 Commissioner race. The debate will be livestreamed by the DFW Press & Media Club.
