Native Texan, Haley Chavez, spent her entire life in the DFW area. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and a digital media certificate. Her belief that journalism should be inclusive and offer equal representation to all communities ignited her passion for nonprofit journalism and led her to join Dallas Free Press.
