Plumbing and home repairs
The City of Dallas is providing emergency home repair funds of up to $10,000 per household, both rebates for homeowners who already hired licensed contractors to repaid damages and grants for households who have a family income of 80% or less of the area’s median income. Up to $10,000 for repair, reconstruction or replacement work on homes damaged in the storms is available through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas. Funds are limited to households who have a family income of 80% or less of the area’s median income, and the home must be in the name of the person applying. The city, county, state and federal government are trying to assess damage from the winter storm to determine resources needed for families and communities.

If you’ve experienced property damage from frozen pipes or other issues, the Texas Department of Insurance has resources to help file a claim, avoid fraud, and report price gouging. Find more informationhere.
Anyone needing help paying for rent or utilities going back to March 2020 can apply online for funds with the Texas Rent Relief Program or call 1.833.9TX.RENT (1.833.989.7368).
