Explore the local legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, and Juanita J. Craft, at Fair Park and in the South Dallas community. See the flyer and “Learn More” link for event schedule details.

The symposium will feature two speakers panels, “MLK in Dallas: Dr. King’s Visits, and the Community Response,” and “It Starts With Me: Youth Activism in 21st-Century Dallas.” There will also be shuttle bus services for tours at Music Hall at Fair Park and the Juanita J. Craft House.

Our mission is to inspire bold civic engagement globally by preserving and amplifying Juanita Craft’s life and legacy of human rights through transformational education. We collaborated with the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and the Junior League of Dallas to restore Ms. Craft’s home with the goal of achieving museum accreditation and registration on the Civil Rights Trail for the state of Texas.
